News Article: "Earth Day, A Special Day" by ChiaryLoveHouse95

Last April 22, I have posted an artwork which I made for a very special occasion - Earth Day! I have committed myself to create artworks for Earth Day since last year because I wanted to give my own share in generating extremely strong and positive awareness to the public.

This year's artwork-meant for-Earth Day was featured in Deviant Art's news article entitled "Earth Day, A Special Day" by ChiaryLoveHouse95. The news article was made in a form of compilation of the author's chosen artwork-meant for-Earth Day done by different artists around the world.

The artwork which I'm talking about is:

All of the artworks, that were included in the said news article, deliver a strong message for everyone to contemplate. Here are some of those artworks that I considered magnificently done and will surely never fail to catch the publics attention and will let them think twice before pursuing their non-environmental deeds:

Note:

All artworks are really eye-catching and serves as an eye-opener for everyone. I wish I could include all artworks, which made it to the said news article. But then, I can't. I really need to shorten this post and that's the reason why I only chose 4 promising artworks.

The Predecessor's Dream

Yesterday, I attended an Exhibit of NCR Finalists for this year's search for the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP). Mr. Ellis John Mandia (whose picture appears above), my successor, made it as one of the 20 finalists competing for the top ten post. I'm happy that he made it there because it is a dream come true for him to be part of such an elite search, which recognizes top graduating student leaders (college level) in our country.

To give you a little background, I once dreamed and aimed for that particular recognition but I never made it. The school can only choose 2 nominees that would represent the institution. I was never selected to be one of those two, yet I know that I'm part of their list of options. Yes, it maybe so sad on my part not to be given a chance to prove myself as one of the outstanding students, but I do know that God has greater plans for me.

Now, let's go back to the present scenario wherein Mr. Ellis is one of those finalists thing. It really feels great to know that my successor has done so much for his life as a student, a leader, and an achiever. People may say that my successor has achieved more than I do or some may even say that he's greater compared to me. I'm not gonna turn bitter or jealous on my part because I know that I have achieved something really big and worth trying. And that is... choosing and convincing Mr. Ellis to occupy the spot that I left.

By choosing him, I did became an achiever on my own because I let him realize that the world doesn't only exists and revolves around his academic excellence. I let him realize that he has the ability to make anybody into somebody through his leadership skills, instead of just being contended as a student who deserves high grades and only exists inside the four corners of the classroom. I did made a right decision and I will always remember and consider him as one of my achievements in life. An achievement that I turned someone into somebody, yet still humbles down and continues to use his talent for the benefit of the community. He is Mr. Ellis John Manidia - my successor, my friend, and my achievement!

My life did changed when he accepted my challenge because after all, I will never consider myself as an effective leader if I have failed to pass on the advocacy and the leadership skills that I learned from my predecessors and mentors - And that is the real essence of being a true leader! c",)

PASS IT ON!

Summer Season 101: Beyond The Usual

Summer is still here and it brought us scorching heat that makes everyone cage themselves inside their room with lots of devises turned on just to satisfy their body's need of coolness. Some may even visit their nearby malls for free coolness provided by the mall's artificial ventilation.

Like most of you guys, I also don't want to feel the intense heat that this summer season brings to us (or should I say, "I'm not really a fan of Summer"?). Yes, I don't like summer that much. But because I'm a person that extracts positive views from the usual dilemma, I prefer to see and benefit from positive sides that this season has to offer. Two of those benefits would be: sidelines and business opportunities.

Yes, you read it right! I did have a series of sidelines right now because the construction industry is in the limelight during this particular season that promises to give us enough amount of heat (or sometimes, beyond the usual amount of heat). Having multiple sidelines made me earn well aside from the salary that I'm accepting as a project supervisor of a building that we're constructing. It feels good to earn extra money that comes from my own intellectual creativity and effort.

Aside from sideline, I did mention about business opportunities. Yes, there are a lot of business opportunities to venture during this kind of season. I have also started my self-concept business together with my friends. Hopefully, it would turn out successfully. After all, summer season can either be loved or be hated. From now on, I do love this season because I really think positively and I do extract positive views and benefits from the normal dilemma that I went through during this kind of season.

If I were you, I would definitely maximize the benefit that I can harvest from this season. So, go on! Take a sit, create some unique concepts that would turn into a money-making business bringing bang and innovation to the industry. And if, you are still starting to build a better career starting from basic scratch like I do, then we better consult the experts and learn basic dos and don'ts on how to start and manage a business by reading different Business Articles that are available in the world wide web. I know that sometimes, reading can be painful and such a heavy commitment to achieve but then, it definitely pays the price! After all, you just have finished reading this article of mine.c",)

Happy reading! Who knows? Maybe you'll start loving what you're reading because it made a difference in both your life and career. Until next time!c",)

Earth Day 2010: Go Earth, Go Green!

Earth Day 2010 is here! Have you done your part in caring for this planet? If not, then please act now. Remember that this planet is our home and our source of life. So please be responsible enough because God gave us the task on taking care of the home that he built for us.  I won't expand much on the topic because the image (below) that I made speaks louder than my writings.

More and More

I'm back and kikin'! Laughs! Well, we're still in the month of April and as I have stated on my previous post, the entire month has been jam-packed with lots of activities for me to do and accomplish.

More sidelines to finish, more artworks to create, more advocacy to spread, more contest entries to submit, more tasks to do, and (most importantly) more life to enjoy, lots of air to breath and a million reasons to be inspired and to inspire other people.

Have a happy life everyone!!!! c",)

Jam-Packed April

April is such a month for me. Why? Because I was so jam-packed right now. My organizer has been filled with a lot of activities to do for this month alone. Those activities includes Earth Day 2010, work schedules (meetings, concrete test results, concrete pouring, etc.), and lots of contests to join.

Yes, my schedule may be so hectic for this month due to the earth day preparation and contests that I'm aiming to participate. You may blame and scold me for taking most of those activities and the only reason that I can give to you is.... "I'm happy with what I'm doing." c",). Yes, that's the only and most definite reason that I can give to you guys. Nobody can blame me for being happy and gaining happiness from creating art pieces to be submitted in a particular contest or just for the sake of creating awareness that will be benefited by everyone.

At the end of this day, while trying to contemplate from this post, you may realize that it is not just about the happiness that I'm trying to reveal. If one would dig deeper and tries to see the energy that's feeding the roots of my happiness, then one would see the element called "PASSION". Passion is the same element that fuels my everyday commitment and it, definitely, is a fuel worth spending... (oh no, not my penny) my time and effort.
