That Single Day

One day to go and this year comes to an end. This simply means that the earth will complete another cycle around the sun. It is an annual routine she does for a living. The passing of another year marks another moment of remembering what went wrong.

It was a misunderstanding between the two of us that made us apart. It was a kind of communication I wish we didn't had. Surely, emotions made us decide quickly on choosing that broken path that leads us to broken hearts. We both made a mistake and that's the whole point... we made a mistake by entertaining that kind of mistake. We chose to be affected by our feelings brought by a miscommunication and the worst part is, we didn't bother to communicate at all.

If only we tried listening to our hearts rather than obeying to our loud emotions during that very moment, we could have settled things up; if only we let ourselves be occupied by love rather than too much hatred, we could have saved "us"; and if only we let things pass harmonusly rather than sticking with our grudges, we could have had that single chance... that single choice... that single change... for that single day.

Blogserye: The Name is...

Hi folks! I'm still in the process of completing my whole being. This incubator is a big help to me. Really! You see, I feel like I'm also like you guys... but defenitely in a different setting. Im being nurtured in this watery world of squarish madness - a box that contains life. How's that for a very cute reason? Haha. Anyways, eventhough I'm not out yet, this incubator let's me connect and scan the whole blog for my own knowledge. Well, that explains why I can post eventhough I'm not yet fully complete. Anyways... Uhm... What am I going to say? Oh, I remember... Here it goes... Dan dan dan dan!

I've learned that your world is filled with different emotions. Among those many emotions are love, joy, happiness, anger, and hatred. Your world is very unique for it is full of humanly desires, greed, barbaric activities, yet... you guys are still filled with hope and positive dreams. You tend to create changes that you ought to see. Uhum! Wait... Cut the seriousness aside. I'm not that robot guy from the Avengers. Haha.

Yo! I'm very excited to be part of your world... or at least a portion of your world. I'll be posting my adventures here every Saturday (that's once in every seven days). Oh! Speaking of seven, I forgot to mention my name as promised. My name is Steven Seven. Go follow my adventures. You may also comment below in order for you to be part of my exciting quest. I'll be learning a lot of stuff in order for me to know the very concept of being human... or somewhat like human. Hahaha. Are you excited? Huh? Huh? Huh? Well, me... not really. Ahaha. Of course I am! I'm super excited from our moon to other's moon! See you again next time! Dot dot dot!

Blogserye: My Beginning

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... eeeekkkkk wait, this is not about Star Wars... this is about my story. Let me come up with a new introduction. Uhum! Hmm... Mic test, mic test. Weheee! OK, here it goes...

In a simple page of a notebook lies the story of this one cool character that will bring change to every story. This character is none other than me. My story begins today as my creator, Artistmat, gave me the chance to live in this powerful blogging universe. You see, I was formed by seven intergalactic mysterious molecules carefully selected in order to create the best me possible. Seven is the number of my creator and he entrusted me this number simply because I'm special. Seven is also a number of days that builds a week. Here, you'll see me appear once in every seven days along with my adventures. Seven is also a part of my name, which you'll find out next Saturday so be sure to visit this blog on a weekly basis.

That's it for now. This is you new cyber buddy, S... Ah ah ah! Not so fast! I still can't tell my name. That's for me to know and for you to find out next Saturday. My creator might punish me for disobeying him. See you next week only here on "Whisper of my Heart". Be sure to tell your friends about me and my soon-to-be adventures in this blogserye of mine. Dot dot dot!

P.S. you may also guess my name if you want to. Just write it down on the comment box.

28 Years of Everything

October 17, 2015 marked an additional number to my age. I am now on my 28th year of existence. 28 years of living, loving, dreaming, believing, aiming, influencing, and changing. That same day marked the beginning of my blogging comeback. It is time to go back, be active, and make my presence felt here in this world called blogosphere. I waited for that significant day of my life in order for me to set the right timing and to earn the right amount of passion. After all, my readers deserve quality contents from me.

A lot of changes had happened during my nonexistence here in blogosphere. Those changes made my life more meaningful and much exciting. Let me share some of those changes on my next posts. As of now, let this simple post serve as a hint that I'm back.

Thank you so much for waiting, and for still believing in me. Have a good day ahead and always stay awesome!

     This is Artistmat, signing off!

Static Heart

It's July 9, 2015 and here I am sitting on my couch while looking at my bedroom window. It is raining heavily outside. The rain won't stop pouring in. It's kind of encouraging me to go outside and let myself be soaked with freezing water. But then, there's no need for me to go outside. Just by being inside this room, I can already feel the cold that this rain offers. And what's even worst is that there's coldness deep within me.

Yes, there's coldness in me. I can't feel any emotions at all. It's worth expressing that I should envy the sky for it has the courage to cry and express whatever feeling it has. Unlike me, I can't... I really can't! I feel so helpless in this dire state. It feels like I'm just a man... never a human.

Here I am again scribbling my thoughts while gazing at the harsh weather. Overthinking things over and over again. I feel so empty... so empty that it feels like I'm the perfect dummy designed for display and amusement. There's no affection, passion, and soul.

What am I here for? I don't get it. Why have I been like this since the last time that I experienced pain? Speaking of pain... it was a horrible one, which made me pour out a lot of tears. So drastic that it left me no emotions at all. It feels like I am a product of two opposing but complementing forces - the venom and its antidote. It was like in order for me not to experience pain anymore, I need to feel pain first. Well, extreme pain that is. But it appears like pain is not the only thing that's missing right now. My entire emotions are. They are all gone.

Back then, I thought that I'm weak because of crying my heart out. But now, I feel weaker because of not being able to produce even a single tear from my eyes. I'm like a spirit caged inside a dummy with a lifetime sentence of not having my emotions. I feel so helpless. No, I am helpless! It is a cliche that I've been using the word "feel" even though I'm not completely sure if I'm feeling any. I guess, I just have to wait and hope for this current state to change just like the changing of our season; or I'll just wait for death to pass by just like how strong metals corrode and turn into useless rusts.

MetaArch3: Sharpening the Saw

The Brown Bauhaus - Alternative School of Architecture + Design (BBAAD) has formally opened its doors for interested MetaArch3 applicants through its Public Orientation held at Design Center of the Philippines (DCP), which is located at the historical CCP Complex. The recently concluded Public Orientation for batch one was attended by architects, architecture students (Filipino and foreigners), and in-house industrial designers of DCP.
MetaArch is an Advanced Design Foundation Course where professionals and students learn, discover, and create authentic designs by undergoing the course's very holistic curriculum. Here, participants will be called "journeymen" and will discover the true art of creativity by studying ten (10) modules: Philosophy Foundation, Art theory, Geometry, Theory of Contrast, Fragmented Weaving, Dimensional Color, Installation Art, Poetry, Horticulture, and Music + Dance.

"We focus on the process of designing, which is patterned in the pedagogy of Bauhaus. In this course, we will eliminate symmetry and will focus more on the non-symmetry and fragmentation. This will be a reeducation. We will not rely on software and technology. Here, it is all about the head, the heart, and hands." - Architect Walther Ocampo, BBAAD Studio Master.

MetaArch years one and two have created graduates with powerful design philosophy and taste. These acquired skills lead them (MetaArch Graduates) to fast employment here in the Philippines and abroad. Take note: they landed on the elite "design team" and not on "production team". I can attest to that especially that I was able to witness their transformation. Year three promises the same outcome [plus] great opportunities (with the recent partnership with DCP) for this year's journeymen. MetaArch3 will officially start on May 4, 2015 (Monday) at Design Center of the Philippines. Tuition fee is just PhP 5,000.00. Such a small amount in exchange of huge opportunities waiting for successful journeymen.

Hurry! It's time to sharpen your saw! Be sure to be part of MetaArch3! If you think that this blog post is not enough for you to be part of MetaArch3, be sure to attend the Public Orientation for Batch two on May 2, 2015.
"We badly need artists than professionals."

Big Hero 6: Disney's Trademark for 2014

Disney hit big time in 2013 with its animated movie "Frozen". It was a gigantic legacy for Disney as "Elsa... Elsa... do you want to build a snowman?" and "Let it go... let it go!" became words of mouth everywhere. Undeniably, basing on everyone's familiarization, the movie was a big success.

In 2014, Disney had it again with "Big Hero 6". "Baymax" had been a popular word on different social networking sites. This movie has different elements in it comparing with "Frozen", but it sure entertained people and made them dream of owning their own Baymax.

I had the chance of watching the movie and it made me decide to watch it again and to pay much more attention on details for this blog's sake. I was impressed with the whole movie that it made me want to blog about it. "Big Hero 6" is definitely worth reviewing.
"Big Hero 6" is not your average science fiction/futuristic animation movie. It is a story of relationship, creativity, sacrifice, loss, revenge, and discovering one's own purpose. The story revolves around a fourteen (14) year old boy named Hiro, whose big brother was taken away from him through a fire incident. His loss affected him so much that he completely buried his hopes and dreams until he discovered Baymax inside his room. The story went on when he discovered that his brother's death was no accident, but a terror made by a mysterious masked person. The whole discovery made Hiro's heart revengeful. He became angry that the only best thing to do is to terminate the antagonist. His anger overpowered his intelligence, which made him push too far. He neglected the real purpose of Baymax, which is to give care rather than to give terror. Good thing, Baymax made him realize the real purpose of everything. Taking away the life of the other won't bring back the life that's already gone. Hiro, Baymax, and friends of his brother Tadashi decided to stop the culprit by doing it the right way. The story ended positively with a win-win scenario. The culprit has been captured, no one was hurt, and a life has been saved.
The story highlighted much on Tadashi's goodness and principles, which made Hiro become better by knowing his purpose. This purpose involves helping people in need and risking his own life to save another's life. As what Tadashi said, which was echoed by Hiro:
"Someone has to do it."
The entire movie really impressed me. The story-line is great and so as the transitions. Each picture was not forcefully made to introduce the next one. Elements were made to connect rather than to confuse. Moral lessons were powerfully delivered while funny moments were hilariously exhibited.

To end this post, I must say that "Big Hero 6" is Disney's trademark for 2014 when it comes to animated movie. Let's wait for the company to unveil their trademark animated movie for 2015. I'm sure that there will be one. After all, Disney has its own sets of magic.

Smart's Free Data is Simply Amazing

Being a blogger, who [instantly] shares most of his adventures through Instagram posts and other micro-blogging sites, means being connected anytime and anywhere. May it be checking-in a luxury hotel, dining in at a gourmet restaurant, or even walking at the streets. Being connected everywhere means not depending on wi-fi at all times.

Before, I make sure that I register my mobile phone to get internet access via data connection before leaving the house. I had to spend money just to be online while outside the perimeter of a wi-fi zone. Thanks to Smart, I don't need to spend money anymore. Smart has given this blogger the ability to instantly share his adventures without depending solely on wi-fi and without the need of spending money. Their free Facebook and Internet promo is really helpful. Now, I get to share my adventures online anytime... anywhere!

P.S. don't forget to follow me on Instagram and on twitter (@artistmat) to get instant updates from my adventures. See you around!

To My Dearest...

Let me offer you my love,
It is the only thing I have.
Please accept it my dear,
There’s no time for fear.

I will love you beyond eternity
And I promise you it’s not a fantasy.
This is how great my love can be
To a woman, who is so dear to me.

Everlasting can be a clear definition
Of what my love has envisioned.
You, walking in complete harmony
To the tune of a perfect symphony.

Sending our vows to each other
Right in front of our great provider
Is a sign of a couple’s intention
To preserve a love for perfection.

Engaging my remaining life with you,
Gave color to a meaningless view.
Your presence is truly a delight,
For you’ve given me a new sight

Loving you is our greatest story
And we’ve made a piece of history.
Looking back at how it all began,
Reminds me of a lovely risk I’ve done.
